Mai Ndombe protects over 250,000 hectares of critical bonobo and forest elephant habitat within the world's second-largest intact rainforest, the Congo. It empowers communities in one of the world's most impoverished countries by creating a pathway to low-carbon economic development, agricultural and economic diversification, education, and healthcare. Without its presence, the area would likely be leased to foreign logging and mining companies.

Located within the Brazilian state of Acre, Amazon Valparaíso preserves 28,000 hectares of pristine tropical rainforest alongside the Valparaíso and Jurua Rivers in the Amazon Basin. By enhancing the quality of life and socio-economic development of local populations through training in sustainable agriculture, provision of health services, and education, the project makes conservation an economically viable alternative to slash-and-burn agriculture, cattle ranching, and commercial logging.
